Bagong Silang’s 3rd Barangay Week (July 26-30, 2010)
Brgy. Bagong Silang held its 3rd Barangay Week on July 26-30, 2010.
This program is offered by the City Government, headed by Mayor Joet Garcia and Vice-Mayor Noel Valdecañas, together with the Sangguniang Panglungsod in cooperation with the Sangguniang Barangay
The program started off with a parade that was attended by Public Officials, led by Mayor Joet, with different NGO’s and Barangay officials.
Various programs and services were conducted all through out the week. Such were Medical/Dental Mission, Diabetic Awareness, Birth Certificate Registration, Disaster Preparedness, Agri-business, Computer Literacy, and many more. A huge number of Brgy. Bagong Silang residents benefited from the said programs and services.
As an end to the Brgy. Week, members of the Sangguniang Barangay, headed by Brgy. Chairwoman Emma Austria, conducted a brief presentation and report whereas Mayor Joet also explained the mission and vision of University Town 2020.
Overall, the Brgy. Week celebration was a huge success. |
Brigada Eskwela 2010
Brigada Eskwela is a national program that was held all throughout the schools.
The entire Sangguniang Barangay, headed by Brgy. Chairwoman Emma Austria, fully supported and cooperated in the said program.
Aside from the programs they conducted, they also provided materials needed for the renovation of the classrooms.
In the leadership of Ma’am Jovy Singzon, together with Bagong Silang Elementary Teaching Force, BSES was improved for the comfort of the students. |
Tree Planting with Mayor’s Staff at SB
Together with the help of the staff of the Mayor’s Office and the Sangguniang Barangay, various trees like rambutan, calamansi, and eggplant were planted at the backyard of the Multi-Purpose Hall.
This also serves as a part of the Barangay’s cooperation with the Tree-Planting program and Clean and Green program of the City Government, in the leadership of Mayor Joet Garcia and Vice-Mayor Noel Valdecañas.
As of now, the fruits of the calamansi and eggplants give a wide amount of benefits which add up to the beauty of the yard. |
